FUNDING

  • Prof. Akyurtlu receives grant entitled "Investigation and Applications of Metamaterials in the Visible Regime", from the Air Force Research Laboratory (May 2005).

  • Prof. Akyurtlu receives grant entitled "Electromagnetic Metamaterials for Advanced Antenna Applications," from the  Air Force Research Laboratory (May 2005).

  • Prof. Armiento receives grant entitled Development of Long Wavelength Technologies and Devices from the Air Force Research Laboratory (July 2004).

  • Prof. Akyurtlu receives grant from NASA Langley Research Center to study Electromagnetic Metamaterials (August, 2004).

  • UMass Lowell receives NSF NSEC grant for a new Nanomanufacturing Center (September, 2004, read more) --As part of this effort Prof. Akyurtlu's research group will be investigating the basic physics, reliability, and failure mechanisms of nano-scale devices.
