Pretended to hellish falsehood

Once again, Adam is talking about how Eve is not being her true self, or the true self that Adam wants her to be, with him. The lines before she was using her beauty, and was targeted by Satan and now all of her hellish behaviors are shining through, at least that’s Adam’s perception of Eve’s latest actions. It is as if Eve is going back and forth from the good side to the evil side. In these few words Adam is thinking about
