with him leagued, thyself as false And hateful

The accusations that Adam is accusing Eve of may seem harsh, but to Adam she deserves them.  To Adam, Eve has suddenly add without any thought or notice turned to the dark side.  Eve does not possess hate in her, though Adam seems to think so.  As for her false attributes she does possess them.  Adam thought in no way he could be fooled  by her, yet it was done.  He thought of her as the purest of the pure.  Though the sinful act is done they both know that there's going to be consequences  and that they will be punished.  In the beginning of book XI God clarifies a few things for Adam and Eve.  He tells them that their repentance is necessary  for salvation.  God doesn't want man to fall victim to the same desperate despair that doomed Satan.  God passes judgment on Eve and for her sin.  She and all the women after her shall have to give birth in pain, and the men that follow Adam will have to gather food.  Adam's response is sorrowful and full of remorse, he knows that because of his deed all mankind will suffer.  Adam wants to put all that upon himself, but he can't.
