Milton asks the power he has evoked "May I express thee unblamed?". This is reveals something of the extent of his faith; in the author's view, God is so utterly perfect that to describe him as anything less than 'unblamed', or without flaw, would be impossible. The Light Milton speaks of in lines one to twelve is a reflection of God, so the author is always, whether indirectly or not, addressing Him as well. He is omnipresent, and this fact is in line with Milton’s strong faith.
