These are the lines in which Satan officially decides that he has given up any hope of remorse, and that he will live a life of sin and evil.  He has given up all hopes of being redeemed, and will be contented to live in Hell.  Goodness has no effect on him, and it is not worth it to Satan to try and be redeemed
