"Paradise" is defined by Dictionary.com as follows:

• The Garden of Eden.
• Theology.
  1. The abode of righteous souls after death; heaven.
  2. An intermediate resting place for righteous souls awaiting the Resurrection.
• A place of ideal beauty or loveliness.
• A state of delight.

If Paradise has come to mean "Heaven," can we explicate that Eden may have been a part of Heaven? This brings up the question of whether Eden is a "place" or a "state." When Adam and Eve were expelled from Eden, did they move to a different place called Earth, or was Paradise already a part of Earth?
