But, God presents the infamous Tree of Knowledge.  This tree produces the only fruit Adam cannot consume, as it would introduce the knowledge of good and evil.  This reflects on Satan, as he turned evil when he thought of going against God.  In a similar vein, if Adam breaks the will of God, he will learn of evil.  The important thing to remember is that knowing what is evil and what is good isn’t necessarily bad; the problem lies in learning that there is evil at all. Evidence of this is seen in the creation of Sin - a woman that sprung from Satan's head when he first thought of defying God.
