Do not believe/ Those rigid threats of death, ye shall not die:

Here Milton almost reiterates the bible word for word which is very effective. Another effective word choice was using the word “believe”. By using believe the text implies a challenge for Eve who does not have knowledge of right and wrong to go against the only thing she knows, her trust and “belief” in God.
