By using alliteration of the “T” sound it gives the words a more appealing sound giving a picture of doing what the words mean. Satan appeals to Eve by stating that he has already touched and tasted; two things that Eve has already experienced with everything else in the Garden. Since everything is good in the garden right now it seems logical to believe that she enjoys touching and tasting new things and human desire for wanting the untouchable comes into play which is a great temptation device here
