My project involves the evaluation of the efficiency of diverse storm water treatment technology systems used across the State.  In this study, three systems will be evaluated: StormTreat^TM, HIL Downstream Defender^TM and Vortechs^TM.  These systems are located respectively in Salisbury, Rowley, and Rockport Massachusetts.  We are collecting samples which will be analyzed for chemical and biological pollutants.  At the end of this study, important information about the types of pollutants drained by runoff waters to the coastal water bodies, and the effectiveness of the treatment systems cited above, will be revealed.
