Personal Web Page Assignment [10:00AM section]

Those of you in the 8:30 section will do a service learning assignment.  It will be similar to this assignment, but will meet the needs of a local nonprofit.  Details will be handed out in class.

In this assignment you will create a personal web page. You may use Netscape Composer, FrontPage, or straight HTM, or any other product. You will hand in your webpage on a disc with your name on it.  This page is due at the start of class.  It will be counted late if handed after class has begun.  The label on the disc should include your name and the title of the assignment, Assignment 3.  Also your file name should be MyName.htm or MyName.html (2 points) [Be sure to use your own name here, for example davidlewis.htm]

Try to pick a theme for the page that tells something about you. You can do anything except that you must use the following in some way:

1. Images (2 points)

You must use at least two images. You can retrieve images from the net or we can scan a photograph or other picture.

2. Table  (2 points)

You must use  a table to organize information on the page.  (table must be at least 2 x 3)

3. Lists (2 points)

You must use at least one list.

4. Background (2 points)

You must use a background pattern or color other than white.

5.  Links (2 points)

You must have the following links

• 3 links to pages that you find personally interesting.
• 2 links to pages that you find professionally interesting.

6.  Background Information (2 points)

• Include a paragraph about yourself, 50-100 words.

7.  A link to a second page on your disc.  You must be able to link back to your homepage.  (3 points)

• Completeness - Did you include all of the items above? (16 points)
• Style - How well is it presented? (3 points)
