MARCH 2008 PHYSICS ACTIVITY DAY

On March 5th, 2008, 18 Students from Esteban Dominguez' Lowell High School AP Physics Class attended the first (of many, hopefully) Photonics Center Activity Days.  Students competed to see how fast they could fill up a 1L Seltzer bottle with water and then empty it.  Congratulations to Team "Doesn't Matter" which won the competition with a time of 10.5s!!  Their reward?  Choosing the flavor of the subsequent Liquid Nitrogen Ice Cream!  (Vanilla)

1.  Students race against the clock...

2.  More friendly competition....

3.  Students race to fill up their bottles

4. Professor Wasserman mixes Liquid Nitrogen Ice Cream

5.  Post Doctoral Researcher Shiva Vangala times a LHS team filling up their bottle....
