IMPORTANT: ECOLOGY CLASS IS CANCELLED TODAY NOVEMBER 19, 2009 DUE TO ILLNESS. Please plan to hand in your draft assignments Monday Nov. 23 (to either Dr. Rooney-Varga or Ms. White in the Biological Sciences Office).

Important note about draft submission:
There have been several questions regarding your draft presentation due Thursday.  Please see my clarification below:

Please submit a rough draft of your poster presentation – i.e., a draft of the text (Abstract, Introduction, Discussion, Literature Cited), as well as plans for figures, and a rough guide for the layout of the poster.  The Turnitin.com submission is only the text of your poster – the rest is hardcopy and can include rough layouts (even with neat handwriting, if necessary), explaining where you plan to put the different parts of the poster.   I.e., one 8.5 x 11 piece of paper with a rough layout, followed by individual figures and text.  I would prefer that you submit one draft as a group, with the individual contributions identified.  However, you can also submit your own part separately, with pieces that were done by the whole group being submitted by each individual group member (i.e., everyone in the group may submit the same abstract).

Since there seems to be some confusion around this submission, I am willing to extend the deadline to Monday, Nov. 23, with the understanding that you MUST get your hardcopy signed and dated by either myself or Ms. White (the secretary for Biology) in order to ensure no late penalties.
