Summers 1999, 2000 and 2001, UMass Lowell will host Building Regional Capacity (BRC), a collaboration with Education Development Center (EDC) and the Eastern Mass Association of Math Department Heads (EMAMDH). This project will implement a professional development program for mathematics department heads, lead teachers at the 7-12 level, and professional developers. Participants of BRC will attend two consecutive summer workshops along with two full-day seminars at the University of Massachusetts at Lowell. In the intervening academic year, participants will initiate an ongoing program of inservice courses to teachers in their own and neighboring districts. More Information on the program
