COURSE DESCRIPTION
Laboratory exercises are performed to exemplify and supplement the material covered in 36.341, Organic Reactions and Structure Lecture.

COURSE GOALS
The major goals of this course are the exploration and understanding of common techniques involved in purification, understanding product analysis and reaction mechanisms and the acquisition and development of experimental skills. Analysis of laboratory data, observation skills and the use of chemical and spectroscopic tools to identify unknown chemicals will also be emphasized.
