This site has it all: descriptions of disorders, articles and abstracts, as well as chat areas and other useful resources, and it is very searchable. It is, however, more geared toward a general audience and is more like a popular magazine.
National Institute of Mental Health

This government agency is the largest source of funds for research and for development of programs in the field of mental health, this site contains up-to-date information about some of the newest trends and most exciting research.
