After browsing the commercials included on The Living Room Candidate site, write a detailed summary of one of the spots.  Your summary should consist of at least four developed paragraphs.  Each of your paragraphs should be at least three sentences long.  Include the date, as well as the title or basic theme of the ad in your summary.

For example, your summary could begin, "In the race for the presidency in 1952, Dwight D. Eisenhower's campaign ran a series of television commercials that featured a repetitive jingle, "I Like Ike."  The jingle was designed..."  Your next paragraph should summarize the actual content of the commercial.  The third paragraph should describe the purpose of the content.  In other words, explain what the commercial aimed to make viewers feel or think.  In your final paragraph, evaluate the impact of the advertisement, that is, explain why the commercial was or was not effective.

Students who incorporate specific details into this assignment will earn the highest grades.  Please don't forget to proofread your work.
