SUMMER OPPORTUNITY in SCIENCE (SOS) RESEARCH:
For the summer of 2002, I was working as part of the SOS Program (Summer Opportunities in Science) under the guidance of Dr. Ryan. Together, we investigated protein degradation of a histidine-rich glycoprotein in the mussel, mytilys edulis. To conduct this study, we were using UV-vis absorbance to measure protein concentration. I look forward to starting school in September and continuing my research in the lab.
