SONA System information
Only instructor or TA can administer the records for your Research III class; Research III students cannot do that but a graduate assistant could.
Before
students can sign up for a study, the Department Coordinator needs to make
it visible and
provide a quota limit on hours to be used after IRB approval.
Once General Psychology students have signed up and less than 2 hours before a study is conducted, Research III students need to be provided with a list of people who signed up.
Directly after the study, the Research III students need to provide the instructor or TA with an attendance sheet from the list that they were given.
Instructor or TA then enters the credits and penalties according to the list. The recording needs to be done right after each session that the Research III students conduct so that the General Psychology students receive credits in a timely manner.
If the General Psychology students haven't received credit by the time the credit window closes, they receive credit whether the General Psychology student earned the credit by participating or not.
Research III students are not to allow drop-ins.
General Psychology students who drop-in for a study are often people who appear for one study when they should be in another place and another study.
Participation
in the wrong study will mean a penalty is incurred by the General Psychology
student for not showing up in the correct place.
