GETTING STARTED WITH WINDOWS 95
The first part of our exercise will be to become familiar with the Windows 95 platform. This requires extensive use of the mouse on different buttons, pull down menus, and bars.
We will perform the following.
1. Turn on the machine
2. Click and hold on the start button (use the left mouse button)
3. Double Click on an My Computer Icon (use the left mouse button)
4. Click and hold and open a new Word Document
5. Identify the following in the Word Document window
6. Practice the following activities with the mouse
7. Start a program
8. Moving and resizeing windows
9. Using scroll bars
10. Menus and dialog box
11. Using icons for specific functions (redundancy of windows)
12. Using help
13. Shutting down the machine
14. Using a password
15. Can also use keyboard to perform tasks (hard to remember)
