PLEASE NOTE NEW DATE:

We will be joining Prof. Carlsmith's class to a visit to the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston on

       November 14th.

Additionally, the History Department has agreed to fund a bus to take us to and from the MFA.

The bus will leave from the back partking lot of Coburn Hall at 5PM and will return around 10PM.

Assignment:   3-page paper    

The assignment for 30 extra credit points is to write a 3-page paper on a specific work of art and what that object tells us about the history we have been studying. The format for this paper will be the same as the Essay. (Please see Essay link for format instructions.)

You may choose ANY artifact from the collection, but the paper must be your own words, not copied from a museum catalog.
