You will need to correct each count by subtracting the background reading. You will them make a first-order plot of the data, and determine the rate constant. From the rate constant, calculate the half-life and compare it to the literature value. Make sure you properly cite the literature source of the half-life value. The graphs may be done by hand or by computer, but they must have proper scale, and be correctly labelled.
You may submit the report electronically, by noon on Saturday, May 2, or submit them in class on Thursday, April 30.
