DO:

• Balance oxidation-reduction reactions taking place in neutral, acidic, or basic solutions
• Predict the direction of the flow of electrons, identify the anode and cathode of a galvanic cell
• Be able to write line notation for a galvanic cell

CALCULATE:

• The standard cell potential(E°) from two half cells
• ΔG° from two half cells or their the standard cell potential
• K, equilibrium constant, from two half cells or their the standard cell potential(E°)
• Cell potential(E) under non-standard conditions using the Nernst equation
• Amounts of reactants or products from time and current of an electrolytic cell
