Susan, Sorry it has taken so long to get back to you. As you probably saw in today's story on BC High, we are wading into the waters of the religious orders. Hi Matt,
Here's a statement by Father Thomas Dunne, the Director of the Youth Ministry, on the role of the Salesians in the Archdiocese of Boston. I thought it was interesting because it emphasizes the Salesians' efforts to carry their work into all of the parishes in the Archdiocese. I hope that you don't mind my remarks on the abortion aspect of Father Nugent's story. Like most victims, I am extremely reluctant to dwell on such details. Also, I really believe that focusing on the institutional side of the story--the 40% problem--will enable a great many victims to come forward and get help. Thanks, Susan
