A Note from the Professor
In
an effort to address changing media, information, and technology, we are
pleased to present our students’ news stories written as part of their
class work for the Introduction to Journalism course. This class website,
designed by UML journalism student Jerome Eno, showcases students’ reporting
and writing throughout the semester.
New to the website, students are able to respond to current issues and publish their news articles in blog format. In addition to these on-line resources, students report and write for the campus newspaper, The Connector and WUML, the campus radio station. All student work is a result of a classroom without walls. This environment encourages students to utilize journalism concepts in their reporting and writing process. As a result, students expand their learning experience throughout the University of Massachusetts Lowell campus and the surrounding community.
Dr. Mitchell Shuldman, head of the Division of Media Services, provided assistance for the instruction and creation of student web pages.
