With the serpent meeting Fooled and beguiled by him
Adam is taunting Eve for being so idiotic and foolish for ever trusting a strange creature, a serpent, no less. Like before Eve was fooled, but it wasn’t as if it was a heavenly creature that deceived her, Eve should have known better. The “by him” in this line means Satan in disguise as the serpent. Most of the blame then, for the downfall of man should fall on the tempter. In that case, the blame would fall not just on Satan, but also on Eve. For she was the one that tempted Adam to eat the piece of fruit from the Tree of Knowledge. Adam was fooled by Eve as the serpent fooled Eve.
