A Note from the Professor

For the first time, we are pleased to present our students’ own stories written as part of their class work for the Introduction to Journalism course. This class website, designed by UML journalism student Jerome Eno, showcases students’ reporting and writing throughout the semester.

In addition to the website, news articles were submitted and published to the campus newspaper, The Connector. All student work is a result of a classroom without walls. This environment encourages students to utilize journalism concepts in their reporting and writing process. As a result, students expand their learning experience throughout the University of Massachusetts Lowell campus and the surrounding community.

Dr. Mitchell Shuldman, head of the Division of Media Services, provided assistance for the instruction and creation of student web pages.
