2013- Vice Chair, ABET Committee for the B.S., in Plastics Engineering Program.
2012- Plastics Engineering Representative on the Ph.D., in Pharmaceutical Sciences Program.
2011- Faculty Representative of Plastics Engineering on Honors Council subcommittee on Scholarships.
2011- University Marshal at University of Massachusetts, Commencement Ceremony.
2011 Coordinated the renovations (with Prof. Malloy) of the Polymer Science Laboratory (Olney 403B).
2010- Faculty Advisor for NSF REU students each summer.
2010- Guest Lecturer in numerous courses in Plastics Engineering & Biomedical Engineering.
2008- Member of the Emerging Technologies & Innovation Center (ETIC) advisory group: worked with architects AGI Abbie Gregg, Inc., and CUH2A to design and outfit the Nano-Bio General Lab and the Nano-Bio Clean room.
2008- Faculty Senator representing the Plastics Engineering Department at UML.
2008- Member of communications committee for the Nanomanufacturing Center at UML.
2008 US-Ireland International Collaboration: As one of only 5 researchers from UML, took part in a 8 day visit to Queens' University, Belfast, Northern Ireland and Dublin City University (DCU) and Trinity College, Dublin, Ireland. The purpose of the visit was to explore possible programmatic, scholarship and research collaboration between faculty and students at the respective institutions.
2007-2009 Co-advisor to Society for Women Engineers (SWE) served as co-advisor with Prof. Carol Barry for the UML student SWE chapter.
2007-2008 Member, UMASS Life Sciences Task Force for Shared Research & Development.
2007- Open house participant (typically twice every year) for the Department of Plastics Engineering, giving department tours to students, prospective students and their parents and explaining the programs of study and research available.
