Aisha, Caroline and I presented our lab's first poster at the Society for Developmental Biology! Congratulations to Aisha and Caroline on their first professional poster!
I presented the talk Thyroid hormone integrates craniofacial development and feeding in zebrafish at the meeting of the 39th meeting of the Society for Craniofacial Genetics and Developmental Biology. Thanks to Craig Albertson for a fabulous session on comparative craniofacial development and function!
Our collaborative project with Dr. Jennifer Fish's lab was selected by UMass Lowell for a seed grant, $10,000 in direct costs!
Construction on our lab's molecular facility and fish room is now well underway. These facilities are projected to be finished in September.
The lab has been awarded R00 funding through NIGMS! This $740,000 award will fund our reseach over the next 3 years.
Congratulations to undergraduate students Caroline Nazaire and Aisha Khalid on being awarded Doug Williams Travel Awards!! Caroline and Aisha will be funded to travel to the 75th Society for Developmental Biology meeting this August.
Our review Working with zebrafish at postembryonic stages is now forthcoming in Methods in Cell Biology. This review establishes best practices for zebrafish work at later stages of development. Congratulations to undergraduate Maddie Chandless on her first publication!
