over the site (put up new homepage with Secret Service logo,
motto of "you are no longer anonymous. Unfortunately, other
parts of the site stayed in place temporarily, including "tutorial
on credit card fraud; a wiki that tracks which state I.D. cards
are forgeable; a how-to on defeating passive infrared alarm sensors;
and exchanges on such disparate matters as handgun silencers
and polyester laminating films." Estimated that the value
of the thefts might otherwise have reached $1 billion.
